The PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 marks India’s largest system-level assessment, evaluating over 21 lakh students across Grades 3, 6, and 9. Aligned with NEP 2020, it offers deep insights into student learning, school environments, digital access, inclusion, and emotional well-being. Foundational gains in Grade 3 signal recovery from COVID learning losses, while gaps in higher grades highlight areas for targeted reform. The survey also reveals urgent needs in skill education, child safety, and mental health. As a data-driven compass for policy and practice, PARAKHRASHTRIYASARVEKSHAN2024 sets the stage for inclusive, responsive, and future-ready education across India.

SQAAF ( School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework
  • PARAKH NCERT

  • By Indrani Bhaduri

SQAAF, developed by PARAKH under NCERT and rooted in NEP 2020, redefines school quality through a five-domain framework—administration, curriculum, assessment, infrastructure, and inclusiveness. By combining self-assessment, strategic planning, and transparent disclosure, schools advance from Abhilasha (Aspiring) to Pragati (Progressing) to Jagriti (Exemplary). In partnership with the State School Standards Authority (SSSA), SQAAF balances accountability with renewal, turning data into actionable insights and fostering stakeholder engagement. Embedding reflection into practice, it cultivates equitable, learner-centered ecosystems that evolve beyond compliance into vibrant hubs of innovation, dignity, and continuous improvement.
